A stuffed bunny phone case seems like a good idea, but it’s not very practical

Phone Case of the Month is a monthly series in which we live with, and subsequently review, our time with a phone case. Phone cases are one of our only ways to express individuality with our smartphones, so what do our phone case choices say about us?
Everyone in the world seemed to love my bunny phone case. The receptionist at my doctor's office told me she looked it up and bought it during my appointment; the cashier at Dunkin' Donuts searched for it immediately after I bought an iced tea; and the woman outside a bar took a photo of it, telling me she "loves bunnies." I knew this case would inspire reactions, but I didn't realize how many people would be struck by its cuteness and oversized, plush body. Approval is nice, but honestly, I can't wait to take this case off.
A company called Hamee sells this bunny, and I soon learned stuffed animal cases are big in Japan, People in the US haven't seen them as much, though, as evidenced by the shock and true awe I witnessed at its existence. I, too, was overjoyed when it finally arrived at The Verge's office. We ordered it off Amazon, and it took weeks to get here, but when I took it out of its clear, plastic box, I knew we had made a good decision. The bunny is both cute, because it's got large, beady eyes, but also slightly sad because its mouth is formed into the shape of a frown. It almost seems upset that we sentenced it to hold our iPhones for all eternity. I'm sorry, bud.
